Optimizing Higher Education for Sustainable Development through the Design and Implementation of the Global Engagement Program

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) plays a significant role in the environmental, economic, social and cultural spheres is key element achieving sustainable development goals. Higher education institutions, as main producers of future leaders, are essential to practice ESD. However, (HESD) still its infancy many higher institutions. This study adopts corpus-based text analysis case methods. Starting from features ESD examining “Global Engagement Program”, this paper aims explore how can better promote within framework proposes model HESD. Specifically, focuses on following questions: (1) what based UNESCO’s official documents; (2) does Global Program seek achieve HESD (3) proposed HESD?
